Why use this one

What is different about this list

  • It is personal. Pick who you are and we hide everything that does not apply.
  • It puts £ estimates against the changes that can be priced, using the same sums as our calculators.
  • It covers deadlines as well as rate changes, with a countdown in days.
  • It says plainly what is announced and what is already law, and flags anything not yet confirmed.
  • One data file feeds the whole page, so when HMRC announces something it can be added quickly.
Everything we track

This is the full list the tool filters. Dates in italics-free plain text; items marked “Announced” are subject to legislation.

Frequently asked questions

Is this list complete?

It covers the tax changes and deadlines for the self-employed, contractors, company directors, landlords and savers that we have confirmed from GOV.UK and the Budget 2026 documents for 2026/27 and 2027/28. It is not a list of every tax change in the country. We add new items as soon as GOV.UK publishes them. The list was last updated on 1 November 2026.

Are the 2027/28 changes law yet?

Not all. Changes announced in the Budget on 28 October 2026 still need to pass through Parliament, so they can change. Each item says whether it is announced or in force.

Where do the £ estimates come from?

The same calculators you can open on this site: the trading allowance, savings and rental tax, mileage, fuel duty, vehicle tax and employer cost calculators. Open any of them for the full working.

Is my information sent anywhere?

No. The list is built in your browser from a data file on this page. Nothing you tick or type is uploaded, stored or sent.

What about Scotland?

Scottish Income Tax bands and rates are set by the Scottish Parliament. The 2027/28 Scottish bands are not published yet, so where an estimate needs them we use the 2026/27 Scottish bands and say so. Property rates for Scotland are not estimated.

Last checked: 1 November 2026. Every figure comes from GOV.UK or the Budget 2026 documents, and reuses the figures already checked on our calculators. Written and checked by the HandySums team against the GOV.UK pages below. HandySums is independent and not an accountancy firm — see how we check our sums.

Estimate only — not tax advice. Results are a guide and HMRC has the final say. Announced changes can still change before they become law. Dates marked as a standard pattern are not individually confirmed by GOV.UK yet. Verify with HMRC or a qualified accountant.
